Borland Launches Enterprise C# Development for the Microsoft .NET Framework

• "C#Builder addresses challenges in team productivity by integrating the design and development phases and speeds the entire application lifecycle by delivering tight integration with Borland application lifecycle solutions." said Simon Thornhill, vice president and general manager of .NET solutions at Borland.

Borland adds to C#, integration (InfoWorld)

• Borland Software on Tuesday will unveil four products, including a C# development product.
• Janeva, Borland's new middleware for linking applications without using Web services wrappers, is included within C#Builder. It enables connectivity from .Net to J2EE and CORBA applications. Janeva also will be made available as a standalone technology as well.
• C#Builder supports Web services.
• Also featured in C#Builder are debugging, visual tools, ADO.NET and ASP.NET functionality.
• Microsoft Visual Studio source and project compatability is also featured.

Borland Heats Up New, Upgraded Java Tools (eWeek)

• Borland will announce C#Builder this week.
• C#Builder offers design-driven development through integration with Together and C#Builder Enterprise Core Objects.
• To be available this summer.
• It will come in Architect, Enterprise, Professional and Personal Editions.
• Cost will be $2499, $1799, $999 and $69 respectively.

Borland's Application lifecycle management strategy for .NET (IDG NZ)

Borland's Sidewinder targets Windows 2003 Server (ADTmag)

• Borland's tailored approach to .NET app life-cycle management combines several products with the new IDE, including the CaliberRM requirements-management software; the Together ControlCenter design and analysis tools; the Optimizeit Profiler for the Microsoft .NET Framework; and the StarTeam collaboration and change management system.
• Borland is also the first licensee of the Microsoft .NET Framework Software Developer Kit for distribution.

Borland Pushes Back Ship Date For .Net Suite (CRN)

• C# Builder includes a data provider based on ADO.Net which allows developers to build one application to connect to multiple databases.
• Note: A correction from Borland was posted to this article stating "Borland is not pushing back any .NET product ship dates. Borland is now shipping all ALM for .NET products such as OptimizeIt, CaliberRM, StarTeam, and Together CC, today and will be shipping the final ALM piece, C#Builder, in the Summer as planned."
